Quick Post

No, I have not died... We've just been really busy with the wedding AND making sure we workout frequently.

And yes, I am still hard at work trying to burn off my extra adipose layers...

Unfortunately, my weight is still stuck in the 242 to 244 range in spite of eating and exercise efforts. I feel great and look better, but there's still more body fat to trim before the wedding.

Coming soon, I will be changing to an even more lean diet, richer in fruits and vegetables, and lean lean lean protein. Plus lots of Cardio. We will probably be cutting out some of the muscle stuff for a while to help work on burning off the fat.

Thanks everyone for all your support, encouragement, and enthusiasm. Sorry I have not been staying on top of this. Expect more in the days to come, and hopefully less (if you know what I mean).

61 days to go...

Scary fast metabolism today! I was constantly eating my lunch throughout the day, and threw in an extra granola bar to hold me over for dinner.

I managed to take care of a lot of wedding stuff today. And we got our reservation at The Beach House in Kauai, for a nice sunset dinner on our honeymoon. Tomorrow I will need to call Gaylord's to make the reservations for the Luau.

Unfortunately, I've been very behind since Memorial Day. We've still been exercising, but the calorie counts and the blogging has been behind. It hasn't been bad though. My weight has settled between 243 and 245, which is good because I don't think I will be gaining back any of the weight I've lost any time soon.

I have already started picking up the calorie counts again today.

68 days to go

Almost less than 2 months away!

Hello! Sorry I fell behind. Last week was really crazy! First we came back from Spokane on Memorial day. Then, on Monday night, I worked a crazy shift : 8:00 pm to 5:00 am... the graveyard! It wasn't too bad, and I got the day off and some serious brownie points at work the next day for helping save the team at work.

I spent most of last week recovering, however, we still got at least 2 days of cardio in.

I'll go ahead and fill you in on today, sans the food info.

81 days ... and hunting bears!

I almost forgot to post today because I was too busy hunting bears! That's right, I have an addiction tracking and hunting big game in my most recent adventures in the video game, Red Dead Redemption! That game is an absolute blast and has been a lot of fun to play and wind down in the evening. Nothing like time traveling 100 years in the past to the times of Manifest Destiny, and duels in the new West of Texas/Mexico area. The game is amazing!

82 days until the wedding and I'm behind on posting!

So, we had a fun weekend after our rest week. And by fun, I mean lazy and pigging out on some greasy food! To celebrate 25 days into my diet and exercise, I went a little crazy and got some of my old favorites. First, I went to Tats with my coworkers for lunch on Friday. I DEVOURED a foot long Philly Cheesesteak, with onions, peppers, and gooey pepperjack cheese! It was heavenly, and refreshing, and of course the BEST Philly Cheesesteak sandwich in Seattle... In fact I was so full from this monster, that I could only eat salad and chips and dip for dinner that night. Then on Saturday, Sam and I ordered an Extra Large Pizza from Papa John's (our favorite) I nearly ate half the pizza and 2 breadsticks... And I almost threw up because we ate so much food! Shockingly, I stilled weighted 243.8 on Sunday! I was thinking I'd tip the scale by 5 pounds, but I guess my metabolism knows how to work.

It was a landmark weekend in my diet, and I am looking forward to day 50 on my endeavor towards Slimville... What should I have when the day 50 celebration comes around???

Good day today! It was very busy at work and had the strangest weather in downtown.

Before we went on our run this morning, we found 4 bags of groceries in one of the carports (this was at 5:30 in the morning). It was very weird!

I went to lunch at a Japanese restaurant called Imo's with some coworkers today. I had my usual Chicken Katsu Burger. Why did I order a burger at a Japanese restaurant? It's pretty much the best chicken burger I've had in my life, and it comes with crispy french fries that have a spicy seasoning on it. So Delicious!

Sadly, we did not get to go climbing today... I got home late, and we didn't want to spend the money to go climbing for less than an hour, and then come home and go to bed, so we may go on Friday (or Saturday) and get enrolled in beginner class so we can get belay certified.

I changed up my lunch today and joined some coworkers. I had a delicious caesar salad and a delicious lamb gyro! So tasty! I also picked up "Red Dead Redemption" today, I played it a little so far, and it has been fun.

89 days to go, less than 3 months away

So far behind, and a little heavier. But I'm not complaining, I had a fun weekend with friends with delicious food. Not bad food, just heavier food and higher calories.

First Sam and I went to Pizza Bank on Friday to celebrate a new accomplishment at work. Then Saturday, we went to the Seattle Aquarium with Ben and Alyssa, and enjoyed some of the local Flavors at Pike Place. Then we enjoyed home made cheeseburgers at Mike Marin's, followed by some Wii Fit, and a small slice of delicious, warm homemade apple pie. It was delicious!

All in all, it was a fun weekend, and I am sure I will be back down to 244 in no time. Also, this week is our rest week, so we'll be doing cardio and light workouts this week.

93 days until I can use my new sunglasses

Sam is feeling better today, and is happy that she is not "sick", but has a sinus infection instead.

I found an ad in a magazine today for "Free" sun glasses for a market study, as long as you pay the Processing, postage, and shipping for the glasses. I ordered a few pairs for Hawaii so I didn't have to worry about losing my "nice" glasses. Hopefully these turn out to be pretty cool:

I can't help but laugh today regarding the slew of jokes I ran through my head when Marin texted me at lunch about the "Cat Person" she saw today. To further clarify, Marin's text said : OMG!! I just saw a guy walking down 124th with cat ears and tail!!!
I almost fell out of my seat laughing, because we saw something similar at the zoo where a guy and two girls had cat ears, tails, and COLLARS on...

100, 99, 98, 97, 96

OMG! I've been so busy in the evenings I've forgot to post my stuff. I'll keep the results short and sweet, and tell you about my busy weekend instead.

First, we had a blast climbing on Thursday at Stone Gardens with our friends Chris and Sam. Then we went out for some amazing Vietnamese afterward at the Monkey Bridge. It was great!

Then on Friday, we joined our friends Ben and Alyssa for some delicious BBQ chicken and Corn on the cob! It was so good, and was followed by a round of Phase 10.

Saturday was a great Rest Day. We went to Macy's to update our Gift Registry, REI to get Sam a chalk bag, and exploring around Target. It was a nice day with some sun finally.

Then on Sunday, I made sure to call my awesome Mom who filled me in on everything that was happening back home. Also, made sure to wish her a Happy Mothers Day! We got a new BBQ'er from Fred Meyer for dirt cheap and made some delicious steak after 2 hours of assembly!

Happy Cinco De Mayo! Sadly, I skipped out on any Mexican food today. I'll save that for one of my weekend meals.

102 - May the Fourth be with You

Happy Star Wars Day! It's May 4th, and I'm trying to be on the "Light Side"?!? Bad joke, tried for the opposite of the "Dark Side".

We had a rough morning trying to work out today. Evidently our "sushi salad" from yesterday was not a formidable meal for muscle building. Both Sam and I struggled a lot to lift weights this morning. Next time, we'll be eating more Protein and Carb intensive dinners the night before weight lifting workouts.

I'm not losing weight as quickly yet this week, which is a good sign in my opinion. I was a little worried that I lost 7 pounds in the first week. Now things should be going a little more steady, since I will likely be gaining some muscle and reaching a level work out before we change it up again.

Woohoo! One week done, and I'm down a few pounds since last Monday. It was a good day today, but I'm tired from the weekend.

Fun weekend, but also, very crazy. I got very little sleep last night due to a call I got from work at 1245 and did not get resolved until 545! Very crazy.

We had a lot of fun at the zoo on Saturday with Mike and Marin. We got to see a very angry tiger and a Red Panda! It was awesome.

Posting this late because we had a busy night yesterday. We went to Mexican with our friends Mike and Marin at Tres Hermanos, and then enjoyed playing various card games like cribbage, kings corners, go fish (Jon's version), Idiot, and crazy 8's. FUN TIMES!

Started the day with a light jog up the nearby hill. Very refreshing, and a little tiring. Hoping to extend the jog to a mile in the coming workouts. Might be going to the zoo or aquarium today for our rest day.

Day 4

Oh no! Workout was aborted this morning! I was disappointed that I missed my workout to recover sleep, but it was probably for the best since I had work.

Otherwise, Today went well. Good day at work and good food. Had to push in some extra calories at the end of today again. Next trip to the grocery store is definitely going to be to get more foods to eat during the day and at work. Looking forward to a good morning jog tomorrow.

Day 3

I had a great workout this morning! Felt very productive and I had a good sweat. Also, finally got enough calories in. Found some great snacks at the store that are low in fat.

We cleaned out the fridge today! The baconnaise is finally gone, along with many other salad dressings and other 'unhealthy' things...
